The newly refurbished Hallmark House Hotel is located in the heart of Johannesburg, the commercial hub of sub-Saharan Africa and one of the world’s grittiest, most eclectic and cosmopolitan cities. The city hosts a truly unique mix of cultures, music, performance, art and design that recalls its turbulent past and celebrates its vibrant present.
The Hallmark building was repurposed as an upmarket stay|work|play mixed-use development in 2016 and the development now incorporates the iconic Marabi Club, Thorn Restaurant, Cutters grooming salon, and newly renovated 999 rooftop function venue.
The website brief was to reflect the precinct’s diverse and vibrant offerings under the canopy of a single web ‘campus’, while working to stringent graphic design parameters. The result is a visually strong and engaging user experience that successfully brings together the development’s component elements.
